Angela, who was 51 years old when she disappeared, was last seen at her home in Prairie Village on June 20, 2019. The disappearance was not immediately reported. According to information from the case, Angela’s daughter initially believed what her father, Geoffrey Green, told her about Angela being hospitalized. He later told Ellie that Angela had died from a stroke while in a psychiatric facility. However, there was no death certificate, funeral or obituary, leading the family to seek answers and eventually contact police.
When investigators began looking into the disappearance, authorities searched Angela’s Prairie Village residence as well as a 35-acre property in Olathe associated with her husband. Police also searched a pond on the property and used cadaver dogs during the investigation. Those searches did not locate Angela.
Geoffrey Green has not been publicly identified as a suspect, and no one has been charged in connection with Angela’s disappearance. Authorities have continued to treat the case as an active investigation while attempting to determine what happened to her.
The case received renewed attention in 2026 following a documentary about Angela’s disappearance. Private investigator Steve Ridge, who has worked on the case for several years, increased the reward for information leading to Angela’s whereabouts to $100,000. Ridge later said he received what he considered a potentially significant tip, although Prairie Village police said they had not been provided with new information that they could identify as a breakthrough.
Police have encouraged Ridge and anyone else with potentially relevant information to share it with investigators. Authorities have emphasized that even information that may seem insignificant could help establish a clearer timeline or lead investigators toward Angela’s whereabouts.
For Angela’s daughter and other relatives, the years without answers have been particularly painful. Ellie has continued to seek information about her mother, expressing a desire not only to find Angela but to understand what happened to her.
