A 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy have died following a devastating early-morning house fire in Trenton, New Jersey, that also left at least two firefighters injured.
The fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday after emergency dispatchers received a call indicating that people could be trapped inside the residence. When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy flames coming from a three-story house.
Crews immediately began working to battle the fire and search for occupants inside the home. Despite their efforts, officials confirmed that the two children were killed in the blaze.
